The 2010 IRB Junior World Championship is the third annual international rugby union competition for Under 20 national teams, this competition replaces the now defunct under 19 and under 21 world championships. The event will be organised by rugby's governing body, the International Rugby Board (IRB). The competition will be contested by 12 men's junior national teams and will be held in June 2010 and hosted by Argentina.
The International Rugby Board has announced a new format for its flagship Age Grade tournament, the IRB Junior World Championship, with the number of participating teams being reduced from 16 to 12 in 2010. watch now Australia vs England >>> live
This restructure, approved by the IRB Council, means that the top 12 teams at this year’s IRB TOSHIBA Junior World Championship in Japan will automatically qualify for the 2010 tournament in Argentina, while the bottom four will participate in regional qualifying structures for the second-tier IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy 2010.
